The Paris Agreement represents a milestone for international action on climate change. However, many people are sceptics and think, “and now what?”
In the Global Hub for the Common Good we consider that challenges such as climate change must be addressed with a broad and holistic view as well as with a global governance approach including different actors and actions. For that reason, we are delighted to co-organise with the Global Governance Institute of the University College of London the talk “Towards a global low-carbon transition”. Michele Stua member of the Community of the Global Hub for the Common Good, will analyse the challenges and opportunities of the Paris Agreement and, in particular, the framework offered by its Article 6 to create a mechanism aimed at facilitating the low-carbon transition of the economy worldwide. From that point on, Michele Stua will present an innovative proposal of mechanism that connects the challenges of the Paris Agreement with international monetary policies as well as with some of the main social challenges of our global community.
